06/14/2008 5:49 PM Alert
This just in from Mike rosen, Club Safety Chair:

On Wednesday, August 6, 2008 the St. Louis PCA will host its first ever one day Advanced Day at Gateway International at Raceway. We are doing this instead of offering a three day weekend at our Fall Carrera Classic. The Fall Carrera Classic will be a Saturday-Sunday DE only.
We are inviting instructors, advanced drivers who have run with us on our Friday Advanced Day, and students who have reached the advanced run group at one of our regular DE’s. If you have not run in one of the above groups, please email us at deinfo@stlpca.org before registering, to find out if you qualify for this event.
We will allow only a limited number of participants. The goal is to separate into 2 run groups, so that we just rotate between the two all day long in 20-25 minute sessions. That’s a lot of runs in one day folks!
Because there are a limited number of spots, snoozing could mean losing out. The price for PCA members is $200.00. For non-PCA members who did not pay the DE membership fee for the Spring 2008 Carrera Classic, the fee is $225. The extra $25 includes the PCA 2008 DE membership. Here is a link:

Registration is also open for Fall Parktown Carrera Classic, running Sept. 27-28 at Gateway. Go to http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/3EAE9F3D-9BB7-8B80-9F4E3B8A1BE97994

While you’re on our web site, photos from the European Auto Show can bee seen in the Photo Gallery.

Our next local event is Thirsty Thursday on 7/3. *********

Nationally, Porsche Parade 2008 kicks off in Charlotte on June 28th. While in Charlotte, if you run into Jerry Seinfeld, we need a speaker for our 50th Anniversary Dinner on January 24th at the Chase. I’m not kidding! :laugh:We could pay all of Jerry’s (reasonable) expenses. We don’t need any expensive comedy routines...just him showing up would be cool. He could talk about crashing his Fiat! So, at least get his phone number for us if you run into him.

Have fun; drive safely.

Jim
