I have a perfect condition hand crank hoist for removable hardtops (Hello Boxster owners!) that you mount in your garage for sale. One person can easily operate this and either remove or install that hard top on your car for the change of seasons. It's mounted in my garage right now so you can see how it works but will take me less than 15 minutes to take down. Works perfectly. Sold the Boxster so don't need this any longer.
here's the blurb from the company that sells these new:
Using this hoist allows you to remove and install your hard top with just one person easily. Your top is cradled by a lightweight aerospace 6061 T6 aluminum tube surrounded by high-density foam that supports the hardtop securely from beneath, avoiding paint and weather stripping. The hardtop is balanced with a connected harness of nylon seat belt webbing that is sewn with heavy-duty polyester thread to the required length. Your hardtop can be suspended indefinitely. Comes complete with block and tackle pulley system to aid lifting and all necessary hardware.
These sell new for $180- $200. you can buy mine for $100.
E-mail me direct at: gsra@swbell.net
thanks,
Carl
